Just to remind some folks about a little contest held over at the IKFSSA message board back in 2002.
This is relevant to this San Soo History thread (because San Soo Sifu knows his stuff on this topic) -- and it ain't gonna hurt to repost it from the old Close Quarters Combat Forum...

Over on JP's IKFSSA message board, there was a contest where you answered questions (San Soo trivia type questions) that JP posted, most of which were about his grampa.

On July 9th, JP announced the winner of the contest.
" Well, the results are (drumroll please)........sansoosifu@yahoo.com or better known as "Jon Edward Surritt" With the score of 18 correct answers out of 25. Congratulations John you are the winner of the contest. Your prize will be sent to you shortly (just after you send me your address). Thank you everyone for playing, look for the next one because we're going to try some new things."

Many of the questions were tough, too.
Of course NOT ONE PERSON said congrats on that site.
It must have irked the cowboy horse poop out of the San Soo Establishment and especially the MJOC and their sycophants that the evil San Soo Sifu knew more about San Soo history and other San Soo trivia than they did.

The only other person besides JP and Robert@TMI who offered congratulations to SSS was Howard FR8TRN Scrivens of San Soo Michigan (and that was at the CQC Forum, also.) Well, to be strictly technical, JP said the winner was "Jon Edward Surritt" but actually offered his congratulations to a "John." Oh well...

This is darn near 5 years to late, but congrats to you Jon, you are one smart San Soo Person. I had went back to the site of JP's and requested that he come off with another dandy poll as the one from years back. Let see if I can get more than one right.

San Soo Sifu (me) won this Red Dragon statue from James Paul King (grandson of Jimmy H. Woo) by correctly answering the most trivia questions about Grand Master Jimmy H. Woo on the Yahoo's message board.
